The Ukrainian army continues to attack military targets in the Kherson region. Every day, the Antonivsky and Kakhovskiy bridges are targeted to inhibit supply lines and cut off Russian forces on the right bank of the Dnipro River.
On Aug. 22, the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially confirmed a new attack on the Antonivsky bridge. According to eyewitnesses, the bridge “fell apart.” Nataliya Humenyuk, spokeswoman for General Command of Ukrainian Armed Forces “South,” confirmed that the Russian occupiers would not be able to restore the bridge.

“The Antonivsky bridge is a key transport routes that the Russians are trying to restore, but they realize now that they cannot repair the structure with just a bucket of concrete,” she said at the briefing.
Ukraine’s armed forces are continuing to hit concentrations of Russian forces across the Kherson region.
“Our aviation equipment made two strikes on a stronghold comprising manpower, weapons, and equipment in the Oleksandrivka and Burhanivka districts in the region,” the official message read on Aug. 22.
It added: “Russian invading forces suffered casualties of 20 soldiers, a Giacint-S self-propelled gun, a Msta-S self-propelled howitzer, two S-300 systems, one illumination and guidance radar station, as well as a Nebo -M mobile radar complex for detecting aerodynamic and ballistic objects, two 120-caliber towed mortars, and three armored vehicles.” The final losses of the enemy are being investigated.

A day earlier, the Ukrainian army attacked Nova Kakhovka. Explosions and detonated ammunition could be heard in Chornobayivka.
Meanwhile, the Russian army on Aug. 22 has so far carried out five airstrikes against positions of Ukraine’s armed forces units in the south of the country.
The occupiers fired a rocket from a Tornado, Russia’s newest 300 mm multiple rocket launcher, towards Bashtanka, Mykolaiv region. As a result of the attack, a private house was destroyed and one child was injured.
They also fired rockets from the “Hurricane” guided rocket system on Zelenodolsk, Dnipro region. One person died and six more civilians were injured.
Meanwhile, the number of Russian ships in the Black Sea is increasing – now up to 14 units, which are kept at a calculated safe distance behind Cape Tarkhankut on the western extremity of Crimea. At the same time, five Kalibr missile carriers with more than 30 missiles and one large landing ship are on standby.
