The death toll in Russia’s missile strike on a dormitory in the city of Kharkiv increased to 10, as an 11-year-old boy had been reported killed.
The relevant statement was made by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Spokesperson Olena Shapoval in a commentary to an Ukrinform correspondent.

“An 11-year-old boy was killed in the dormitory. As of now, we have information about 10 civilians killed in the missile strike,” the regional military administration noted.
Around 05:00 a.m., August 18, 2022, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Kharkiv’s Slobidskyi District. Two missiles hit a tram depot.
“A repair shop and a dormitory, which are situated close to each other, have been damaged. Three civilians were killed and 18 injured, including a boy and a girl, 13 years old each. The dormitory was destroyed partially. Rescue works are underway. Information about casualties is yet to be updated,” Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office noted earlier.
Another Russian missile hit and destroyed a non-residential building in Slobidskyi District.
