Klymenko highlighted the main advantages of implementing the UWR. Firstly, citizens will have easy access to information about their registered firearms. Additionally, the process of obtaining permits for firearms will be simplified.
The UWR includes the creation of Electronic Cabinets, enabling Ukrainians to complete the necessary procedures without leaving their homes. They can submit the required documents through the "Citizen's Single Window" platform or at licensed weapons stores, eliminating the need to visit the National Police.
In mid-June, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the simplified procedure for obtaining a weapon permit, which can now be completed remotely, without the need to visit any physical offices.
