A Kyiv Post article has been circulating amongst the pro-Iranian opposition.
The article is about Ukrainian Nobel Laureate Oleksandra Matviichuk’s support for the rights of Iranians facing persecution and an investigation into Iran’s 1988 massacre of political prisoners.

Matviichuk likened Iranians' struggle against the authoritarian government of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to Ukrainians' struggle against the authoritarian regime of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has been waging a full-scale war on Ukraine for over a year and a half.
This Post article was picked up by pro-Iranian opposition news sources and was summarized and translated before being distributed across social media.
Among these, Iran Adzie TV, a pro-opposition channel located outside of Iran, distributed Kyiv Post's article across its Telegram, which has about 14,000 followers.
“We have a section called Democracy Without Borders in which we report on those campaigning for human rights in other countries. We certainly are not indifferent in the case of Iran,” Kyiv Post's Editor-in-Chief, Bohdan Nahaylo, said.
“We support those championing the cause of democracy and condemn the repressive Iranian regime and its collaboration with Russia in its war on Ukraine,” he sadded.
The Iranian opposition, which opposes both the governments of the Ayatollah and of Putin, has routinely made pro-Ukrainian statements and has helped to expose how Tehran is shipping drones to Moscow.

“Thirty-five years ago, the Iranian regime executed thousands and thousands of people. The international community is still discussing how many people were killed, but what is obvious is that it is a crime against humanity, which has no statute of limitations,” Matviichuk said, speaking at a conference organized by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).
Matviichuk called for the prosecution of those responsible for the massacre, saying that because the Iranian regime has been able to get away with crimes in the past, it has been emboldened to carry on and expand its malign activities, including aiding Russia in its war on Ukraine.
