Shevchenkivsky District Court of Kyiv has released from custody two former fighters of the Tornado Interior Ministry battalion Mykyta Kust and Maksym Hliebov, both of whom have been placed under house arrest, Radio Liberty said.
“The court chose a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest for Kust and Hliebov,” the publication said on the website on March 18 evening, citing an attorney-at-law.

The attorney-at-law said that earlier Shevchenkivsky District Court changed the measure of restraint to house arrest for Anatoliy Plamadial and Borys Hulchuk.
As reported, on August 9, 2018, former fighters of the Tornado Interior Ministry battalion barricaded themselves in the premises of the pretrial detention facility in order to prevent law enforcement officers from transferring some of the Tornado members to another remand prison. The special forces, with the support of the National Guard, managed to take the Tornado battalion’s members out of the pretrial detention facility.
