On Friday, July 1, Dmytro Lubinets was appointed the Ukrainian Parliament’s Commissioner for Human Rights, replacing Lyudmyla Denisova.
Parliament also adopted several essential bills, including those necessary for Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.

In particular:
Implementation of European norms for the protection of intellectual property in Ukrainian legislation;
Implementation of more than 10 acts of EU legislation on copyright and related rights into Ukrainian legislation;
Improving the accounting system of Ukraine, following the provisions of Ukrainian and European legislation;
Ratification of the European Convention on the Abolition of Legalization of Documents executed by Diplomatic Agents or Consular Officers;
Ratification of the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments in Civil or Commercial Matters;
Improving official statistics so as to implement the Association Agreement with the EU.
Parliament also created a Temporary Investigation Commission on International Humanitarian and Criminal Law under Conditions of Russian Armed Aggression.
