The shooters killed five people and seriously injured six.
According to the investigation, the combined detachment of the national guard of Russia from the cities of Kemerovo and Novokuznetsk and the mobile special purpose squad (better known as omon) from Krasnoyarsk krai is involved in the crime.
Having failed to fulfill the kremlin’s task to capture Kyiv, the occupiers retreated and took up positions in Hostomel.
Being in the area of Shevchenko and Svyato-Pokrovska streets, the servicemen for over six hours were shooting cars with locals who were trying to evacuate.
The investigation established that the criminal order to shoot at civilians was given by the commander of the omon unit, his deputy, and a representative of the command of the Russian guard in Krasnoyarsk Krai. Investigators obtained information on their identities and contacts.
Two of their subordinates who personally fired at the convoys were also identified.
The investigation established 11 victims and over 40 witnesses of the crime. Fifty-seven examinations have been ordered, nine investigative experiments have been conducted, and footage from nearby cameras and a witness’s video recording of the events have been obtained.
