Russian invaders attacked Odesa Region with kamikaze drones overnight on Sep. 26.
“One drone was destroyed by air defense forces. Two drones hit a military infrastructure object. The evacuation of the civilian population was organized as a large-scale fire broke out and ammunition detonated,” the Operational Command South wrote on its Facebook page.

It is noted that the fire extinguishing and rescue operation is ongoing. However, according to preliminary data, there were no casualties.
The Russians also launched a missile strike on Zaporizhzhia.
“Today, the enemy has launched a missile attack on the regional center and a village in Zaporizhzhia district. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. The infrastructure facilities were destroyed, ” the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration Oleksandr Starukh wrote on his Telegram account.
Earlier, on the night of Sep. 25, a fire broke out in the shop of one of the enterprises, which was also caused by an enemy strike on Zaporizhzhia.
In addition, the Nikopol District of Dnipropetrovsk Region was hit by 130 heavy Russian artillery shells last night.
“The Russians were firing rocket launchers and heavy artillery at Nikopol District all night long,” the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Valentyn Reznichenko, wrote in his Telegram account.

He also added that “almost 40 houses, more than 20 commercial buildings, cars, 30 solar panels, a transformer substation, and power lines were damaged.” The shelling resulted in almost 3,000 families being left without electricity once again. Yet, over the past day, on Sep. 25, Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks near 13 settlements, and the Defense Forces launched 33 strikes against Russian invaders. This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of Sep. 26, as published on Facebook.
“The enemy continues to focus its efforts on attempts to fully occupy Donetsk region and hold the captured territories, as well as disrupt the active actions of the Defense Forces in certain directions. The invaders fire on the positions of our troops along the contact line, try to retake lost positions in certain directions, conduct aerial reconnaissance, launch strikes on civilian infrastructure and residential buildings, violating the norms of international humanitarian law, the laws and customs of war. There is a threat of air and missile strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine,” the report states.
Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched five missile strikes and 12 airstrikes, as well as more than 83 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). In addition, the enemy used four combat unmanned aerial vehicles to attack civilian infrastructure. More than 40 settlements came under enemy fire.
In response, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out 33 strikes. According to confirmed information, 25 areas of enemy buildup of troops and military equipment and eight positions of anti-aircraft missile systems (Sam) were hit. In addition, units of the Air Defense Forces destroyed a Su-25 aircraft, a Mi-8 helicopter and two enemy Shahed-136 unmanned aerial vehicles.
The Operational Command South also notes that there is still a threat of missile strikes and the launch of kamikaze drones from the sea, air and temporarily occupied land. After all, four missile aircraft carriers armed with 28 Kalibr missiles are on alert in the Black Sea.
