A draft declaration that defines the “existing political system in Russia” as “Rasscism” (a portmanteau of “Russian” “and “fascism”) and condemns its ideological principles and social practices as totalitarian and misanthropic has been submitted to Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada.

The authors of the document are 42 deputies from all political factions represented in the Parliament.

"The Verkhovna Rada condemns the rashism regime of the President of the Russian Federation, V. Putin, as criminal and calls on the international community to join in recognizing the current political regime of the Russian Federation as criminal," the document reads.

The declaration also calls on the international community to recognize Russia’s ruling regime as a criminal one and apply measures that will provide an opportunity to bring the military and political leadership of the Russian Federation to justice for committing crimes of aggression, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide against Ukraine and its people.

In addition, the deputies appeal to the countries of the world to join forces to overcome the threats that the current political regime of Russia, and their ideology and practices of rashism, pose to peace and security.

The statement is currently under consideration by a parliamentary committee. If passed, it will be sent to the U.N., the European Parliament, the Council of Europe (PACE), the OSCE, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, and foreign governments and legislatures.
