Kyiv is ready to help the US however it can with auditing the military aid it’s gotten.
“We are ready to report on any assistance we have received from the US or other countries,” Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (RNBO) Oleksiy Danilov told Kyiv Post.

Reuters reported in May that the Pentagon had discovered that it had overvalued how much money it was sending Ukraine by approximately $3 billion. That number jumped to $6.2 billion after it realized that it had used the same miscalculations for both fiscal years 2022 and 2023.
That overvalued aid came out of one of the largest military buckets for Ukraine, called the Presidential Drawdown Authority. The accounting mistake occurred because the Pentagon had calculated the aid to Ukraine as if it were providing new weapons and platforms rather than old ones.
Danilov said that Ukraine is ready for any audits of military aid provided by any of its international partners.
“From the first day, all the aid that came to our country is under control,” Danilov said. “If someone helps someone, he should know where the help is going.”
Further, Danilov said Ukraine has “nothing to hide.”
The Defense Department Inspector General’s office is now conducting an audit to make sure that everything is above board.
The audit is being conducted at the start of the pre-election campaign in the US – where the presidential election is scheduled for 2024 – and at a time when Capitol Hill is debating whether to continue sending money and weapons to Ukraine.
